When you talk about metal plates sticking together, you do not mean using heat or glue for it. That's cold welding in action! The principle of cold welding is: the two clean metal surfaces join and dielectric in an environment under a certain force, so it can weld together. The atoms (little bits) in the metal are drawn (pulled) together and mix, this makes a robust bond that sticks the pieces together - it is like they are solid bits.
This type of welding can also occur normally in space, where there is no air or forced fluids to disrupt the bonding property between the metals. But in life, we have to manufacture the right conditions for cold welding to occur correctly. Typically, this requires creating a vacuum (ie. removing air around the metal parts). Cold welding does not happen in our atmosphere because air and moisture hinders the bond, so it is necessary to remove them.
Through the use of low heat cold welding methods, we can eliminate problems faced with conventional welding practices. Therefore we can build smoother and aesthetically better things. This leads to better final product overall. Cold welding even has another advantage in that it does not have dangerous fumes or radiation which is common to most traditional welding methods. As a result, cold welding is a tad friendlier to the environment and more importantly, workers.
After the surfaces have been cleaned and are prepared for this, to create that required pressure, we should apply special means and technology. A common process is ultrasonic welding. The method works by creating pressure with the use of vibrations, allowing them to forge a proper cold weld. Another method is known as friction stir welding This technique applies pressure with a rotating tool to form the joint. Two of the most effective ways to cold weld are essentially those recognized methods, creating a powerful joint without heat for excellent aluminum fabrication results.
The phenomenon is known as cold welding, and it produces a bond between the aluminum pieces that is stronger than the aluminum itself. The result is that the joint made by cold welding has an ultra high strength and can endure shocks, vibrations, other actions for survival exposure.. Because of the effectiveness of the cold weld, it's possible to join aluminum pieces without requiring any additional fasteners—no screws, and no glue.
Managing the build this way, in theory should save a tonne of time — and by saving time means not only cutting costs but also potentially slashing months off construction timelines....which keeps things tidy and makes for an all around cleaner end result. In addition, cold welding is ideal for mending aluminum pieces that have incurred damage or wear and tear over time. The cold weld is a solid repair which often times outperforms the other repairs we might make.
The construction industry also regularly employs cold welding since it can be used to piece together sturdy, lightweight aluminum structures like support beams and frames. Ultimately, this makes for safer and more energy-efficient buildings that end users will enjoy for years to come. Cold welding is created in the electronics industry for reliable compound of disparate members, for example aluminum circuit boards. This ensures that the electronic devices function properly and have a long life.
In addition to cold weld aluminum and machining equipment, we have an experienced team of purchasing and we have accumulated a vast supplier pool for standard components and outsourcing surface treatment and heat treatment.
More than 14 years of cold weld aluminum in processing and a complete machine tool, including CNC milling, CNC lathe, grinding machine, EDM and wire cutting etc. We have an benefit for products that are multi-process.
Our technology is cold weld aluminum by professional designers. Our designers have experience in the field of mechanical design. Some of them have more than 20 years of experience in design. They have worked on process improvement and fixtures, as well as equipment design and much more.
Complete quality control is achieved by full involvement. From the very beginning, quality prevention to the final product, we follow a strict quality control process. The product testing is divided into raw material testing, the testing of processing and finally testing. Our testing equipment is also very cold weld aluminum, the main equipment comprises CMM altimeter, projector, hardness tester, spectrometer, and other such equipment. We are a partner with a lot of domestic and foreign-funded companies. We also have passed through their different layers of audits.
